I have a passion for the rural people and rural communities. Every person has a different story and it's my passion to be able to help them share their story with the rest of Australia through freelance journalism. It is also a great way to let other people know the current issues which face many rural communities across Australia.

Jeanette Severs is a multi-award-winning journalist and photographer who specialises in creating national content, telling the stories of Australian agriculture. Her work crosses all commodities (horticulture, livestock, grains/cropping, dairy, pasture, fibre) and issues important to agriculture (agripolitics, biosecurity, water and irrigation, weather, property and financial analyses).
She also writes stories about boutique commodities; for example, heritage pigs, herbs, truffles, vineyards, biodynamic and organic agriculture.
Jeanette value-adds her work with an online presence, blogging about her assignments where applicable; and uses her blog, twitter and Facebook to link directly to her work when clients publish it online.
